My thoughts faded as the familiar scent of my house filled my nostrils. The scent was sort of like clean new leather, but there was a distinct difference that was nearly indescribable, it was kind of like vanilla. The textured walls where a soft yellow and seemed to glow from the sun coming in the large, rectangle window that was behind a dark red sofa. “Kya!” I heard a familiar voice say. Although conscious I kept my eyes closed, maybe I could get used to the rain and sleep again. When my body started throbbing, goose bumps started popping up on my soaked skin and my body started going numb under my freezing, soggy, uncomfortable clothes I realized that was going to be quite the task. Lab Cat: Chap 4: AloneAn odd, but startling sound followed by a rush of air was what jolted me from my sleep. Momentarily I panicked, I didn’t know where this was…then the previous night’s occurrences came flooding back. My beating, my escape, being chased, saving Night-Crawler, running out into the street, then finally finding a very narrow alleyway between two tall, identical buildings to fall asleep in. It was bright out, and when I looked up instead of seeing a white ceiling with a bunch of lights as always I saw blue, bright, light blue. Beautiful.
